Honoured to Present at the IVLEA 30th Anniversary Workshop in Vietnam 🇻🇳 — Advancing Digital Fingerprint Capability Across Law Enforcement
I was honoured to attend the 30th Anniversary Workshop of the International Vietnamese Law Enforcement Alliance (IVLEA) in Nha Trang, Vietnam (25–26 April 2026), as part of the broader IVLEA anniversary program across Vietnam. It was a privilege to present on the role of Forensic Comparison Software (FCS) and its contribution to the advancement of modern fingerprint examination workflows within law-enforcement communities internationally. During the workshop, I highlighted how digital fingerprint technologies are supporting agencies to:
- Enhance latent fingerprints using advanced non-destructive image processing
- Conduct structured side-by-side comparison and evidential note-taking workflows
- Improve examiner efficiency and confidence through modern digital examination tools
- Search fingerprints against operational databases using AFIS capability
- Transition from traditional manual methods to scalable digital forensic environments
The workshop provided an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge with regional police leaders and forensic specialists, and to strengthen professional cooperation between Australia, Vietnam, and partner agencies across the region. Thank you to IVLEA for the invitation and for their ongoing contribution to international law-enforcement collaboration over the past 30 years.
